Golf Charity Events

Hosting a golf tournament fundraiser can be a great way to raise money. It is also a fun activity to do with your friends and supporters. Here are some steps to help you plan and organize a successful golf event with more details.

Organizing a charity golf event

Orange Tree golf course can accommodate your group size and budget. It is important to also consider factors such as location, availability, amenities, and reputation. We are located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona with a close proximity to Sky Harbor Airport, Downtown Phoenix, and Tempe.

We will make sure there are plenty of tee times and golf balls for your group. Additionally, we offer catering and banquet services.

Decide on a date for your target audience. Ensure that the date does not clash with any other events or holidays.

Set a fundraising event goal and a budget

Our team of experts is here to help. We will work with you to decide how much money you want to raise. Additionally, we will discuss fundraising goals and the cost of hosting the event. Remember to account for expenses such as venue fees, catering, prizes, marketing, and insurance.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Solicit donations or discounts for prizes. Create flyers and posters using online tools to promote your golf outings and our team will help spread the word! Don’t forget to purchase liability insurance for your golf fundraisers.

We will help you decide the best way to collect donations. Options include registration fees, sponsorships, raffles, silent auctions, and other methods. Charge a reasonable fee for each golfer or team.

Find local businesses or organizations to sponsor the event or individual holes. Sell raffle tickets or auction items at the event registration and during the event. Ask for additional donations from participants or supporters.

Recruit a team and assign roles

We are here to help streamline tasks. These tasks include planning, marketing, registration, logistics, entertainment, and accounting.

Our team is focused on providing regular communication but it helps to assign clear roles and responsibilities when hosting your event.

We have on-site event help to oversee the overall planning and coordination of the event. Having a marketing team can be challenging. Especially when resources are limited.

We will partner together to promote the event to ensure a successful outcome.

Promote your event and recruit participants

You’ll need to spread the word about your event and attract golfers who are interested in supporting your cause. You can use various channels such as

  • social media
  • email
  • flyers
  • posters
  • newsletters and word-of-mouth.

Create a Facebook page or event for your fundraiser. Send email invitations or reminders to your contacts. Distribute flyers and posters in your community or at the golf course.

Publish newsletters or articles in your organization’s website or newsletter. Ask your friends and family to share your event with their networks.

You’ll also need to create a registration process that is easy and convenient for your participants. People can register and pay online with an online platform or app. They can choose from multiple payment options, such as credit card or PayPal.

Confirmation emails or receipts can be sent to the registrants. Information such as names, contact details, handicaps, and preferences can be collected.

Prepare for the day of the event

We will make sure everything is ready for the big day. We will confirm the venue arrangements and make sure the set up is seamless and stress free.

Let us Host Your Next Event

We will ensure the event runs smoothly. Giving you time to check in the participants, start the tournament on time, provide refreshments and entertainment. Announce the winners and present awards. Collect feedback from attendees.

For example, you may want to greet the participants at the registration table and give them their welcome packets. You may also want to have a shotgun start or staggered tee times to ensure that everyone starts on time.

You may also want to provide refreshments such as water, snacks, and lunch at different stations on the course. You may also want to provide entertainment such as music, games, or contests during breaks or after the tournament.

You may also want to announce the winners and present them with their prizes and awards at a ceremony or banquet. You may also want to collect feedback from the attendees using surveys or comment cards. You’ll also need to thank everyone who contributed to your event, such as your sponsors, donors, volunteers, staff, and participants.
